Nwa Council is located in the Nwa Sub-Division of the Donga Mantung Division, in the North West Region of Cameroon. Nwa town, the headquarters of the Sub-Division, is situated at the south-eastern gateway of the division, bordering the Federal Republic of Nigeria, and lies approximately 200 km north-east of Bamenda via the Bamenda–Ndu–Nwa road. The council area is served mainly by the Ndu–Nwa road axis, which connects the municipality to other councils of Donga Mantung Division and facilitates cross-border trade and cultural exchange.
